For our new series covering our values, Mike Mumford; specializing in philosophy and theopoetics; wrote a short narrative to introduce our first core value - Community. Based on a true story, 'Community' utilizes characters and events recorded in the bible to develop an imaginative landscape wherein we can experience some of the things a first century Christian may have experienced in a typical house Church.

Kindred Church, in many ways, is not special. We find ourselves doing - and being - many of the very same things Christian churches have been doing since the church began or over the course of history. And yet, much of what is distinctive about Kindred is a response to modern Christianity.
